Our residents and staff commemorated the anniversary of VE Day, marking the end of WWII in Europe.
On May 8th, 1945, Germany signed an act of surrender, bringing an end to the conflict. Victory in Europe Day acknowledges this pivotal moment in history.
VE Day was magnificent! The relief, happiness, and nationwide celebration marked the arrival of peace after a dark period.
Our residents watched Winston Churchill’s iconic speech, sang along to nostalgic tunes, and joyfully waved flags.
Scones with cream and jam, accompanied by tea and coffee, added to the festivities.
It was a wonderful time filled with gratitude and remembrance.
