Solent Grange Nursing Home awarded prestigious accreditation

Solent Grange Nursing Home in Wootton Bridge on the Isle of Wight is proud to announce its outstanding achievement in being awarded the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Care Homes Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award.

Members of the Solent Grange team were presented with the award at the GSF annual conference and awards ceremony on Friday 27th September at BMA House in London. This remarkable accomplishment places Solent Grange among the elite in the field of end-of-life care.

Alison Gray, Home Manager commented, “Introducing GSF to Solent Grange has been a fantastic experience, it has really helped shape the culture of the team and our approach to everyday living for our residents. We’re excited to continue striving for improvements and demonstrate that living in a care home can be a fulfilling experience for residents and their loved ones.”

The Gold Standards Framework (GSF) is a UK charity with over 25 years of experience as the leading training provider for end-of-life care employees. Their practical, evidence-based programme strives to enhance end-of-life care by ensuring all caregivers meet GSF standards.

The GSF Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award is nationally recognised as a kite-mark for quality in end-of-life care, making this achievement a source of great pride for Solent Grange.

To add to the celebrations, the team at Solent Grange are also celebrating after being shortlisted in several categories for this year’s Great British Care Awards. The finalists are:

  • The Care Home Activities Organiser Award – Leah Wherry
