National Pumpkin Day and preparing for Halloween!
With Halloween just around the corner, our residents at Stowford House embraced the season’s festive spirit with a joyful pumpkin carving session in celebration of National Pumpkin Day. Residents, families, and staff came together, transforming our lounge into a lively space filled with laughter, creativity, and a touch of Halloween magic.
Everyone got hands-on with scooping out seeds, discussing the best spooky designs, and carefully crafting each pumpkin’s expression. Pam was especially intrigued by the unique textures and patterns of the pumpkins, while others focused on creating the perfect balance of eerie and fun in their carved faces.
As the sun set, we lit the pumpkins with tealights, casting enchanting shadows around the room and creating a truly magical atmosphere. We’ve saved some of the seeds with plans to plant them later, bringing a bit of autumn into our future gardening projects!
Our residents’ pumpkin creations are now on display in reception with Tina, so feel free to stop by and enjoy the wonderful showcase of spooky smiles. Activities like these bring so much joy, keep spirits high, and are a brilliant way for our residents to engage in meaningful, shared experiences that brighten our community here at Stowford House.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—your laughter and support made it a day to remember!
