Cedar View Care Centre recently hosted its annual summer party with a vibrant 1980s theme, bringing joy and excitement to all who attended. The event was graced by the special presence of the Civic Mayor, Councillor Kola Agboola of Croydon, who charmed the residents with his warm and friendly demeanour. The afternoon was filled with lively entertainment, as the band Freeze Frame kept everyone on their feet, dancing to nostalgic tunes.
The highlight of the event was a spirited performance by the staff, who showcased their dance skills to the tune of Cyndi Lauper’s classic hit, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Their enthusiasm was infectious, and residents, staff, and relatives alike joined in the celebration, dressed in their best 1980s-inspired outfits.
The party was further complemented by a delicious buffet and a mouth-watering selection of BBQ food, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all after the energetic dancing. Fortunately, the weather stayed dry, allowing everyone to revel in an afternoon of celebration, unity, and togetherness.
