Residents at Acacia Care Centre have been very creative this week, making pom poms and knitting.
Our ladies were happy to teach the staff how to knit. Reminders of their younger days, the ladies all recalled positive memories from their youth as they were busy creating new ones.
Crafts and other creative activities can promote positive well-being for older people in a variety of therapeutic ways, improving mental wellbeing and encouraging a sense of purpose things.
It was an afternoon enjoyed by all. There was lots of laughter and, of course, lots of knots in the wool.
