Oaklands House residents were very happy to try a new creative activity of ink marbling. Each resident had an undecorated wellington planter and a piece of paper to use for their marbling. Residents chose what colour ink they wanted to use and added the colours to the water. After having gently mixed the ink with the water by blowing the water or tapping the sides of the container, the wellingtons/paper were gently lowered into the mix and brought back up. The mixed ink adheres to the wellingtons/paper and creates beautiful patterns. Our residents were surprised and pleased with the results and found the marbling very relaxing. We all agreed how lovely they look. A very enjoyable afternoon.
