This year, Brenda and choir member Betty from Saint James’s Church graced us with their presence. Residents and families joined in hymns, prayers, and readings, fostering a sense of togetherness.
Brenda beautifully explained the purpose of the Harvest Festival – giving to those in need. Oaklands House Care Centre staff, visitors, and residents’ families contributed generously to our local church’s food bank, sharing tinned and packet foods along with some delightful chocolate treats.
A special moment came during the rendition of “All Things Bright and Beautiful.” It deeply moved a generally non-communicative resident, touching the hearts of visiting family and staff.
Thank you to all who contributed to this meaningful cause, supporting our local community during challenging times. Your kindness is truly appreciated.
