Oaklands House Care Centre Visit Winchester Cathedral

Our residents from Oaklands House Care Centre recently enjoyed a beautiful and peaceful day out at the awe-inspiring Winchester Cathedral—the perfect setting for our second trip this September. This special outing was particularly meaningful as we bid a fond farewell to Violet, who shared her final excursion with us alongside her best friend Irene, and fellow residents Frank and Anna.

The medieval Cathedral, with its incredible history spanning many centuries, captivated our group. The stunning craftsmanship and serene atmosphere left Violet reflecting on its peacefulness, while all our residents took a moment to light candles in memory of their loved ones.

Of course, no trip would be complete without a stop at the Cathedral café, where we enjoyed delicious refreshments and laughter with friends. While the Cathedral visit was a time of reflection, the rest of the day was filled with light-hearted fun and joy, reminding us all of the importance of getting out and staying active.

Days like these bring our residents new experiences, uplifting their spirits and creating cherished memories with friends. We’re grateful for these moments and the joy they bring to everyone involved.
