Oaklands House Celebrates Afternoon Tea Week in Style

Last week, Oaklands House Care Centre celebrated Afternoon Tea Week, a charming tradition that honours the classic British custom of afternoon tea. It was a time to savour the classic combination of tea, finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of pastries and cakes, all beautifully presented by Chef Toulla.

This elegant and leisurely ritual provided a moment to relax and enjoy delightful company in a beautiful setting, complete with fine china and a perfectly arranged table. To mark the occasion, residents and their loved ones were invited to the Vintage Café, where they indulged in a selection of delectable treats, a variety of teas, and even a glass of bubbly. The event was filled with lively conversation, sparking memories of times gone by.

The afternoon was filled with laughter and smiles, creating a heartwarming and memorable experience for everyone. Resident Kay mentioned she had a lovely afternoon and that the company was wonderful. Irene, another resident, described it as absolutely beautiful, with delicious food, and expressed her gratitude. Violet, also a resident, called it a lovely party, praising the beautiful cakes, exquisite sandwiches, and the delightful company, remarking that the entire afternoon was absolutely gorgeous. Resident Anna said she thoroughly enjoyed the lovely afternoon.
