Residents & Staff all took part in remembrance Sunday acknowledging the 2 minutes silence .
Residents were in a reflective mood. Many have lost loved ones and friends to war.
Helene who is a 92 year old lady who is originally from France told me that She remembers the horror of war and is grateful to those who lost their lives. Helene came to England in her early 20s and began training as a nurse. Helene was a community nurse here in England for over 40 years .Helene told me that coming here and becoming a nurse would not have been possible had not been for those brave men & women who lost their lives .Helene wanted to express her gratitude by drawing this heartfelt picture of a poppy and saying Lest We Forget.
