Climbing Heights, Spreading Smiles!
Meet Oaklands House Care Centres incredible head chef, Sarah Barrett! On her special day, she chose to embark on a remarkable journey with her partner, Zamon, climbing the majestic Scafell Pike! Their mission? To support a cause very close to Sarah’s heart – The Alzheimer’s Society, touching the lives of so many families.
For an impressive 24 years, Sarah has been a shining beacon at Oaklands Care Centre, brightening up the lives of our beloved residents with her delightful cooking, festive dress-ups, and active participation in activities.
But Sarah’s passion goes beyond the kitchen – her heart beats for our residents! Her priority is always to bring joy into their days, be it cooking their favourite dishes or involving them in the kitchen magic.
The climb to Scafell Pike was no easy feat, with rain and fog testing their resolve. But in just 2 ½ hours, they conquered the summit, taking in breathtaking views and knowing they’re making a difference in countless lives.
Always on the move and brimming with mischief, Sarah is a positive ray of sunshine at our home, making everyone smile! This climb proves that Sarah is ready to go the extra mile – literally – to put smiles on our faces and improve the lives of our residents.
A huge applause to Sarah and Zamon, raising an incredible £1,242 for The Alzheimer’s Society! We couldn’t be prouder! Together, we make a difference!
