Trip to the National Maritime Museum

Residents at Acacia Care Centre had a delightful morning exploring the vast National Maritime Museum, the world’s largest of its kind.

The museum is a treasure trove of inspiring stories of sea exploration, featuring intriguing objects, fascinating galleries, ship models, paintings, navigation instruments, and uniforms.

The highlight of the visit was seeing the uniform worn by Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar, a historical and memorable moment for our residents. We had a blast exploring exhibitions and delving into the rich maritime history of Britain.

The trip concluded with residents enjoying hot coffee and snacks, engaging in lively conversations about their experiences and sharing precious memories. Both staff and residents alike had a fantastic time, creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of community.
