Sarah Tucker
Home Manager
Welcome to Albany Lodge Nursing Home. I’m Sarah Tucker, the Home Manager. With 16 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, I’ve worked in hospitals, communities, and social care. Caring has always been my passion, and I find immense joy in making a positive difference in people’s lives. Having served as a Care Home Manager and Regional Support Manager has empowered me to provide individualised person-centered care for my residents, fostering strong relationships with staff, relatives, and stakeholders, and serving as inspiration for others.
Feel free to visit and explore the home at any time. Your well-being is our priority, and we look forward to creating a warm and supportive environment for you at Albany Lodge Nursing Home.
Josh Newcombe
Deputy Manager
Hi, I’m Josh!
I’ve been a qualified nurse for 6 years. I’ve spent time in previous care home roles, including Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead. Alongside this, I have worked in NHS hospitals in Accident & Emergency.
I’ve got a real passion for elderly care/dementia. I have been in and around care homes since I was really young, with my Mum being a home manager.
My Grandad had Lewy Body Dementia & Parkinson’s and required support in a nursing home, so I am very aware of the stress that a resident’s family can have.
I aim for all our residents to be cared for in the way I would have liked my Grandad to be cared for. I use this as my daily motivation to ensure we deliver high-quality, person-centred care for all our residents here at Albany Lodge.
Lea Bridgen
Receptionist
My name is Lea, and I work as a receptionist here, at Albany Lodge Nursing Home. We have a great team here and I enjoy working alongside such kind and lovely people each day.
I have had a long career within the care sector for over 20 years. I started my career in 2003 as a health care assistant and then became a carer. I then went on to be an activities coordinator. I have worked and studied hard to work my way up the ranks, such as senior healthcare assistant, and then become a team leader. After many years in different roles within the care sector, I became a receptionist/administrator, which I really enjoy.

Head of Housekeeping
Adam Huxley
Head Chef
I take great pleasure in creating and presenting amazing dishes for our residents. The satisfaction I receive whenever I hear a resident say they enjoyed the food is indescribable. I believe that the way in which food is presented plays an essential part of the residents’ health & well-being. With much confidence, I can say I love my job!
